Pony Cycles are a wonderful and unique product - entirely self-powered (no batteries or leads), they allow children to feel as if they are riding a real pony. Children stand up and sit down on the stirrups in a realistic trotting motion, this propels the pony forwards on its four inline skate wheels. Steering can be done easily by turning the pony's head using the handles on either side. Perfect fuel for the imagination and great for role-play, these amazing ponies are also fantastic exercise and good for building co-ordination and balance skills.
Pony Cycles are ideal for children's parties and also school fetes and other events. They can be used indoors and outdoors (weather permitting) as long as the surface is hard - wood or tarmac is fine, but not grass or chippings.
Pony Cycles are available in three sizes:
Our small Pony Cycles are suitable for ages 3 to 5, maximum weight 4 st / 55 lbs / 25 kg. We have a selection of cute ponies in shades of brown or black, a unicorn, zebra, donkey and a cow.
Our medium sized Pony Cycles are suitable for ages 5 to 9, maximum weight 6 st 4 lbs / 88 lbs / 40 kg. We have 3 cute ponies in shades of brown, with optional knight's blankets, 2 donkeys and a unicorn.
Hire fee for small or medium pony cycles is 6 for £100
Our two large ponies are suitable for age 9+ (even adults can have a go!), maximum weight 14 st 2 lbs / 198 lbs / 90 kg. Hire fee for the large pony cycles is £100 if just hiring these, or £50 for both when adding to another set.
Please note that whilst manufacturer's recommendations state that the small ponies are suitable from age 3 we feel that smaller 3 year olds may struggle to reach the stirrups and that younger children can find the riding motion difficult to master. However - you know your child and their friends better than we do so you are the best person to decide on the ponies' suitability for your 3 year old's party!
'Pony Cycles' is a registered trademark of the manufacturer. Jumping Beans’ ponies are commercial grade, made specifically for the hire market and should not be confused with the toy versions. Commercial grade Pony Cycles are heavier and more robust than toys, with a metal frame and padded plush cover, and have metal stirrups which are adjustable in height.
